Jo-Anne
Chong is a senior lawyer with specialist skills in
the area of litigation and commercial advice. She brings

benefit of ten years experience within top-tier firms,
such as PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal and Blake Dawson
Waldron , as well as in-house and private practice
know-how.

Jo-Anne has had significant success in projects such
as the amalgamation and insurance transfer of a leading
major insurance company and in assessing and advising
national retail providers on their insurance coverage
arrangements. She has worked on due diligence teams
to advise on superannuation and insurance and has drafted
and negotiated contracts to facilitate the transfer
of insurance and superannuation liabilities between
insurer and trustee entities.
Jo-Anne has an intimate working knowledge of the Corporations
Act, the Insurance Contracts Act, the Superannuation
Industry Supervision Act, the Workers Compensation
Act and Workplace injury Management and Workers Compensation
Act. She has regularly appeared in Federal, District
and Local Court jurisdictions including specialist
tribunals such as the Dust Diseases Tribunal and the
Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Her credentials include a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor
of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Master of Business
in Financial Services from the University of Technology,
Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand
Institute of Insurance and Finance. She also belongs
to the Law Society of New South Wales (NSW), the Australian
Insurance Law Association and the Australian Compliance
Institute
